Description

This stainless steel cable tie, with a length of 680 mm and a width of 7,9 mm, is made of the stainless steel alloy 1.4301, a V2A steel material. It is very flexible, yet extremely sturdy, weatherproof, UV- and heat-resistant. A metal cable tie is therefore ideal for indoor and outdoor use.

When our stainless steel cable tie is tightened, a small ball wedges into the locking head and locks the tie securely. If there is no more tension acting on the cable tie locking mechanism, the ball can shift and the lock may release. Stainless steel cable ties have a smooth surface and assume a uniform circular shape after tightening. These characteristics prevent the pinching of the bundled items. Aside from cable harnesses, this zip tie made of stainless steel also holds conduits or pipes reliably in place.

Stainless steel cable ties have a higher tensile strength than plastic cable ties and can withstand temperatures of up to 300 °C. Another advantage of stainless steel zip ties: they are resistant to many different chemicals, except for chlorine and salt solutions. How the ball lock works
A small ball is embedded in the locking head of the steel cable tie. This is why this type of closure is also known as a 'ball bearing lock'. The locking ball wedges itself when the cable tie is tightened, thereby securely locking the cable tie. The prevailing tension ensures that the ball remains lodged.
